Volunteers Speakers Needed:
MSU CVM Students Want to Hear From You

It’s that time of year again! MVMA is excited to have the opportunity to host an in-person meeting with the students at MSU College of Veterinary Medicine again this semester. We will meet from noon to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Every semester the MVMA invites members to speak to the students at Michigan State College of Veterinary Medicine (MSU CVM) about issues that will affect their practice after graduation. We are excited to have the opportunity to be back again this semester to speak to the next generation of veterinary professionals. This time we would like to host a meeting specifically focused on your experience with an internship or an externship after graduation. How did you make the decision to participate and how hard was it to find a position that suited you? Is there advice you had wished you knew then that you know now, and what kind of an impact did it have on your career as a whole? MSU CVM does a great job preparing students for this next phase, but students would like to hear from practitioners who actually experienced this to get a better idea of what they can expect after acceptance.

The goal of this meeting is to facilitate a panel of 5-6 practitioners open to sharing their advice and discussing what they know now that they wished they knew then. We would like to invite any members who are interested in participating to join us. If you have a unique perspective you’d like to share and are energized by speaking with the future of veterinary medicine, this event is for you!
